We tailor our approach to individual clients and according to the area of policing that we are working on. Typically there are three key stages:

Baseline: where are you now?
Before proposing change, an accurate diagnosis of the opportunities is vital. Our  analytical tools and experience in working with over half of UK police forces enables us to process the right data for a full picture.

Handling the demand: what are the options?
The baseline information is input to a simulator to enable a range of what-if? scenarios to be accurarely quantified. We can determine the consequences and costs of, say, adjusting performance targets, the number and categories of vehicles and staff and changes in organisation structures.

Designing working time compliant shift patterns and rosters
A key output from simulation is the optimal profile of resource through the week. We are able to work with management and staff to develop shift patterns and rosters that meet as closely as possible this resource profile, taking into account business need and work-life balance of officers and staff.
